Senior Deputy District Attorney for Multnomah County
Shawn Overstreet successfully prosecuted romance writer Nancy Brophy for the murder of her husband Chef Dan Brophy. Ms Brophy wrote a blog post titled ‘How to murder your husband’ in 2011, and then he was murdered in 2018! This should be a great talk!

Shawn Overstreet's Bio:
Shawn joined the Air Force in 2000 and was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006. During his time, Shawn also received the Air Force Commendation Medal. Shawn then left the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2007. After that, Shawn served as a police officer in Utah, then attended law school at Lewis and Clark, earning his Juris Doctor in 2011. Since law school, Shawn has worked as a Deputy District Attorney for Multnomah County and is currently a Senior Deputy District Attorney, where he works with crime victims as they navigate the criminal justice system. In his free time, Shawn coaches an adult league softball team and is a lifelong Blazers fan.
