Create a colorful ceramic bee bath for your garden! Bee baths are shallow water sources designed specifically for our buzzing companions.
About this Event

We hope you'll join us for our most colorful and whimsical Make-Along, Bee Baths! New this year, we'll demonstrate techniques that allow us to attach our bee baths to "stems" after firing to create colorful, year-round garden decor.

When you add a bee bath to your garden, you provide a vital resource for local bees. Although honeybees don’t use water for hydration, they collect water to aid their digestion and keep their guts healthy. Bees also collect water in their wings to fan themselves inside their hot hives. Perhaps the most important reason to provide water for bees is to support bee larvae. Nurse bees need water to create royal jelly to feed bee larva and help them grow. Learn more at savethebee.org!

We'll use our signature colorful stoneware in red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, blue, lavender, and ivory to create bee baths. You can expect to create one or two bee baths during the workshop! No clay experience is required for this activity.

Our adult workshops are for ages 16 and up ONLY! By registering, you are confirming that you (and any registered guests) are 16 or older

Please wear clothing you don't mind dirtying, and bring beverages in closed-top containers to protect them from clay dust. All tools and materials are provided. You'll be able to pick up your projects approximately two weeks after the workshop, or we will be happy to ship them to you if you're not local.

Let us know if you have any questions - we're looking forward to hosting you!
