Join us in The Grove for Mahjong 101 with The Mahj Masster! Mahjong 101 is a fun and approachable introduction to American mahjong. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the essentials of the tiles, reading the card and learning how to play the game (building hands and strategies). We’ll break everything down step-by-step so you feel confident jumping into a real game. Whether you’re brand new or just looking for a refresher, you’ll leave ready to play, connect, and enjoy this highly social and addictive game. Space is limited, registration is required!
About The Mahj Masster
Mahjong Masster Mahjong Classes and Gear in Boston
Danielle Senzer is the founder of Mahj Masster and a passionate mahjong instructor who has taught hundreds of students across Massachusetts. She discovered mahjong during the pandemic and quickly fell in love with the game.
What started as teaching occasionally, quickly grew into a thriving business, with sold-out events, partnerships with local organizations, and a growing community of players. Known for her warm, engaging teaching style, Danielle makes learning mahjong feel accessible, modern, and fun for all ages.
In addition to teaching mahjong, Danielle is a realtor, marathon runner, and mom of two. She loves creating spaces where people can connect, learn something new, and have a great time around the table.
