Join us for our 3rd Monthly Chess GamePlay, a fun and focused opportunity for players of all ages and experience levels to play real, organized chess games in a tournament-style setting. -G30 Game Format: Games are 30 minutes per player, with a 1-hour maximum per game
-No Entry Fee or Membership: Open to the public with no USCF membership required
-Equipment & Matchmaking: Boards and pieces are provided; pairings available on ability level
This event will have a friendly, tournament-style feel, with official pairings and timed games organized in a supportive environment. No prior tournament experience is needed—players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to come learn, practice, and enjoy real, structured gameplay while building confidence, focus, and game strategy.
Monthly Chess GamePlay is a great way for players to:
-Gain experience playing under tournament conditions
-Practice using chess clocks
-Meet and play against a variety of opponents
-Prepare for tournaments or decide whether to join one of our chess courses
Whether you’re a seasoned player or newer to competitive play, this is a welcoming and exciting way to sharpen your skills and enjoy the game!
Mr. Will has been hooked on chess since age three and brings decades of experience to the board (USCF rating: 1750). A talented musician as well — he plays both guitar and piano — Will blends strategic thinking with a creative spark that makes him an approachable and inspiring captain.
