For this September's bike night event we have been working with Tanya Van Rickley, Jeff Zoerb, and Greg Nelson with the VAREP Team and they are helping us do a poker night at the the American Legion Post 1 in Denver from 1530 hrs until 2100 hrs.It is our first collaborative event and it is being hosted by the VAREP Denver Chapter Team (Tanya Van Rickley, Jeff Zoerb, and Greg Nelson), as well as our Organization (CVMA® CO 3-1) and the American Legion Post 1!
Half the proceeds will go to our Chapter and the other half will go towards their "Christmas for Kids" event where they get Christmas wish lists from kids of Veterans who are or have been homeless. They take the list and go shopping (literally) and fulfill the lists (up to $100 per child). Then they wrap all the gifts and try to have a Christmas dinner party for the kids with Santa and deliver their presents to them directly. They also provide a $100 gift card to each family to King Soopers for then to enjoy a Christmas dinner.

Question: Do I need to play poker?
Answer: No! The American Legion has a great bar to hang out in so come enjoy the event and connect with a great group of people! There's a lot of history in the Legion and you will enjoy your time!
