About this Event
Trish Poupard, VAL Member and our instructor, has been painting in transparent watercolor for 15 years. She considers herself a watercolor purist and does not use any form of masking to save the white spaces but instead uses negative painting skills to depict white in her paintings.
Objectives:
· Discover transparent watercolor
· Utilize building up transparent washes
· Manipulate and control brush strokes
Description:
In this watercolor workshop, you will focus on creating different strengths of neutral tint to create layering. Through manipulation of water and pigment you will discover light to dark values in the subject you are painting utilizing building up of watercolor. You will leave the workshop with your finished 8X10 piece of art matted and ready to frame.
· All necessary materials are provided
· You may bring your favorite brushes or watercolor paints
· Bring an apron or wear your painting clothes
Only 15 seats are available for this workshop. You must be at least 16 years old or with an adult.
This workshop is held at the Grand Theater in Old Town Lewisville. The address is 100 N. Charles Street and we will be in Classroom 1.
