MONK'S MOOD: A TRIBUTE TO BEBOP LEGEND THELONIOUS MONK
Step into a world of playful harmonies, angular melodies, and unmistakable swing with Monk’s Mood, a tribute to one of Jazz’s most original and profound voices. This concert celebrates the music and spirit of Thelonious Monk, the iconic pianist and composer whose bold innovations and intentional mentorship helped define the bebop era and expand the possibilities of Jazz. From dissonant classics like ‘Round Midnight and Ruby My Dear to joyful gems such as Blue Monk and Epistrophy, The Muse Jazz Collective brings Monk’s genius to life with deep respect and fresh interpretation. Whether you’re a lifelong Jazz lover or new to the bebop tradition, this concert offers a captivating journey through the quirky brilliance and expressive depth of one of America’s greatest musical innovators.
