Monkey Okay are a rock band from Aalborg, Denmark. They shy away from any strict genre definitions or musical styles, but instead try to employ whatever sound they feel best conveys the message of any given song - this has lead them to a more experimental and improvisational way of creating and playing their music. They have release two albums and a split single. Their 3rd album Mausoleum is ready to perform live.
Mausoleum is part II of the band's trilogy. Part I, The Long Haul..., revolved around themes of birth and creation, specifically the band's movement into a new genre and musical direction and the idea of creating this trilogy. Part II instead focuses on death and mortality. The songs all look at death from different perspectives and how death comes in many forms and in many parts of life.
