Join the Adopt A Stream Foundation community for this new Streamkeeper Academy class exploring a unique perspective on waterfowl photography. Get an inspiring behind-the-scenes look into the world of wildlife photography, and be delighted by striking images of local wetland ecology.
Greg Green is a career wildlife biologist and instructor at Western Washington University where he teaches ecology, wildlife techniques, and natural history. Greg is also a nature photographer and writer, and recently published the book Wild Lives with Art Wolfe highlighting the state of the world's wildlife through photography and essays.
Greg will be presenting a slide show entitled Monet, Me, and the Mallards where he shows how he melded water reflection landscape photography, reminiscent of Claude Monet's Water Lilies series, with wildlife photography featuring waterfowl and other pond-based wildlife. Forced to quarantine during the COVID pandemic, Greg spent many mornings and evenings within isolated photo blinds capturing both the daily and seasonal vagaries of reflected light upon the water complemented by the presence of alluring waterfowl such as wood ducks and hooded mergansers.
