We're celebrating Mardi Gras this week! That means wear purple, green, or gold - or all three, go crazy 💜💚💛
Our beginner drop-in with Joshua will get any new, new-ish, new-to-blues dancers ready for the social dance floor after the lesson.
Our secondary class, with Noah and Savanna, will be for our Ballroomin' Blues dancers: Ballroomin' Strut from New Orleans! This Blues idiom has dancers moving counter-clockwise around the floor, walking in close embrace with a rolling motion of the upper body emulating the strut of a drum major at the Mardi Gras parade ⚜️
During our social dance our DJs have put together blues and jazz blues music to keep you strutting around the room until we gotta strut right out the door 👋 First hour will be Noah and Savanna making sure there's plenty of jazz blues for the Ballroomin' Blues-ers, and second hour will be Joshua stretching our "genre legs" but keeping it jazzy.
