A NEW 20-week season of the Monday Junior Pool League kicks off at Waterlooville Sports Bar next Monday (September 8th) 4.30-6.30pm.Format will be round-robin followed by some sort of knockout at the end of the session. Free practice from 4pm.
Experienced players and complete beginners catered for. Age range is six to 19. As well as playing competitive matches, the boys and girls are taught the rules and the etiquette - and receive coaching.
Beginners work with WPBSA coach Tim Dunkley until they are ready to play proper frames. No pre-registration. Non-members welcome. Full-sized and junior cues can be provided.
The cost is £4.50 a session for club members and an extra 50p for non-members.
Trophies for players attending a minimum of 15 weeks are presented at the end of the 20-week season.
Tim also runs a pool league for under-19s from 4.30-6.30pm every Thursday and a junior snooker league every Monday from 4.30-6.30pm.
