Moms for Social Justice is a grassroots non-profit focused on creating a more equitable future. MSJ’s mission is simple: building a local movement of citizens to engage in, advocate for, and act in the service of social justice issues in an effort to improve the community for all generations.
We are excited to announce our new 21+ book club focused on diverse and inclusive literature. Our goal is to read and discuss fiction books and memoirs with feminist, queer, and BIPOC perspectives. We believe these perspectives provide crucial representation, foster empathy and understanding, combat bias, and validate marginalized identities.
Every meeting, we will share info about a local non profit organization or charity we suggest you donate to, follow on socials, and learn more about. Since April includes Earth Day and Arbor Day, our third highlighted organization is the Chattanooga Audubon Society (@chattaudubon on Instagram), which you can read about here: https://www.chattanoogaaudubon.org/. This org is dedicated to protecting and preserving natural spaces in Southeast Tennessee.
