About this Event

Catalyst Conversations invites you to Moments of Awe From Cosmos to Colony featuring acclaimed national bestselling author and MIT Professor Alan Lightman, artist and scholar Maria Molteni, and transcendentalist Russell Powell.

Join us in the Lindsey Chapel at the Emmanuel Church in Boston's Back Bay for connection and learnings.

We have partnered with Porter Square books to offer a selection of three of Alan Lightman's titles available for pre-order (if you are unable to attend the event, Porter Square books will hold the books for pick-up until April 15th):

  • Einstein's Dreams, (novel)
  • Searching for Stars on an Island in Maine
  • The Transcendent Brain

Alan Lightman, physicist, author, MIT writing professor

Maria Molteni, artist, scholar

Russell Powell, transcendentalist, Harvard Divinity School professor

A reception with the speakers will precede the program. Light refreshments and books for sale will be provided at the event reception. A small number of spots are available at dinner with the Speakers following the program.

This event is free of charge. However, registration is required and we suggest a minimum donation of $25 to help cover event costs and support Catalyst Conversations.
