About this Event
From the host of “Girl Meets Farm” on the Food Network comes Sweet Farm!: More Than 100 Cookies, Cakes, Salads (!), and Other Delights from My Kitchen on a Sugar Beet Farm, a mix of nostalgic sweets and new concoctions drawn from Molly Yeh’s Asian and Jewish backgrounds as well as adopted Midwestern traditions. Since moving to the sugar beet farm, Yeh has immersed herself in the world of sugar as a baker, recipe developer, bakery owner, and TV personality. She speaks fluent sugar, so recipes for sweets come naturally—those in Sweet Farm! include chewy frosted tahini cookies, rhubarb rose bars, black sesame babka, and sprinkle cake 2.0. Yeh will be in conversation with Carey Polis, a freelance food editor and consultant, and the author of the “Cheese, Book, Restaurant, Thing” newsletter on Substack.
