Station Park is looking fantastic for the 2026 Duck Race Fun Day on Sunday 31st May! The Boating Pond is full, the play area have been completely upgraded, and the ducks have been on their training courses (Level 2 Customer Service, Advanced Formation Paddling, Duckling Care (just renewal this year, they all got great grades last year) and English for Beginners… unfortunately that one didn’t go so well, the ducks are finding the pronunciation too difficult 😢.) There is free parking and EV chargers across the road from the park, public toilets in the park and all the fabulous independent shops, cafes and bars of Moffat High Street and Well Street nearby.
Please put the date in your diary, share with friends and family and look out for the Duck Numbers going on sale closer to Race Date. There is nothing quite like watching over 1000 ducks floating and jostling down the River Annan to the finish line. What do you think will be chasing them this year? Last year there was a hippo, the year before were 3 alligators 😮😂. There will be food & drink vans, stalls and the brilliant face-painter, and music and fun!
Don’t forget, each and every duck race participant is valued and cherished, and carefully gathered up at the end of the race for a rest before they start training again for the 2027 event.
