Modesto Artists Movement POETRY NIGHT - April 8, 2026

Join the Modesto Artists Movement for the POETRY NIGHT!

Music, haiku, poetry, and spoken word collide for a salacious night of fun and laughter. In addition to an open mic poetry night (come early to sign up!), poets get to select their musical accompaniment (i.e. piano, bongos, cello) to create a brilliant fusion of sound and spoken word, elevating each poem into a unique and unforgettable performance.

But wait, there's more!We will also be featuring our signature Kazoos & Haiku Battle where the audience gets to decide the winner! We will announce a theme on our Socials (@modestoartistsmovement). To compete, write 6 haiku in standard 5-7-5 haiku form and sign up when you get to the event.

Prizes will be awarded to "Best Poem" and "Haiku Champion!"
