Philadelphia native Jaleel Shaw is a saxophonist and composer with degrees from Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. A Thelonious Monk Competition finalist, he released his debut album, Perspective, in 2005 to critical acclaim. Shaw has performed with the World Saxophone Quartet (appearing on Political Blues) and leads his own ensembles.
