About this Event

Modern Kintsugi Workshop with Miya

Join us for a fun and hands-on in-person workshop where you'll learn the beautiful art of Kintsugi — the Japanese technique of repairing pottery with gold, turning cracks into a beautiful landscape. Miya will guide you through every step, sharing tips and stories behind this timeless craft. Whether you're a beginner or just curious, come ready to get creative and take home your own unique masterpiece!

No prior experience is necessary. All tools and materials for the mending will be provided. Please bring a broken ceramic vessel (must be glazed, no more than 4 fragments) to mend during the class. If you don't have a broken vessel, you can purchase one from the instructor for $5 at the event.
If the vessel you bring is determined that it is too challenging by the instructor (it will not be finished during the workshop), you will be asked to use a vessel prepared by the instructor.
If you would like to mend more vessels at home, you may purchase Miya's modern kintsugi kit for $55 (optional), only avialable for those who attend this modern kintsugi workshop. Please email [email protected] to reserve a kit, at least 3 days prior to the event.
