ON THE DAY
Hair
● Due to the limited time, please arrive at your session with your hair styled. Natural hair, or however you typically style your hair, is recommended.
Trying a new hairstyle on the day is not advised as you are more likely to decide later that you don’t like the style.
Hair must be clean.
Tan
● Please avoid fake tanning, at home or at the salon, in the two weeks prior to your portrait session. However carefully applied, tanning often results in patches of discolouration on camera.
Nails
● It’s best to keep nails simple; bare or coated with a clear/nude neatly applied nail
varnish. Hands and Nails must be clean.
Clothing
You may already have clothes in your wardrobe that you think will be perfect. If not, there’s no need to spend a lot of money. Previous clients have opted to order clothes from shops like ASOS or Zara, and send them back after the shoot. (Remember to keep all packaging and tags)
Please bring more outfits than you will need, as it’s best to have multiple options to pick from on the day.
Clothing Advice:
Please avoid Logos, motifs, graphics and bold patterns are a distraction, as the eye is naturally drawn to these before anything else.
Clothing Variety
● It’s best to bring plenty of outfits as this means we can discuss on the day which will be
the strongest options.
● Try to bring a variety of styles. For example, a dress and some trousers, a baggy look
and a more fitted look.
