Have items piling up that can’t go in your trash or recycling bins? ♻️Gilbert residents are invited to a free, drive-through drop-off event offering multiple disposal and recycling services in one convenient stop, including hazardous waste, document shredding, glass recycling, and donations.

For one day only, the Gilbert Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be mobilized, giving residents a safe and easy way to drop off items that require special handling and are not accepted through curbside collection.
👉 How it works:
🚗 Stay in your vehicle
📦 Have items boxed and ready to go (no garbage bags, please)
🧑🤝🧑 Staff will unload items directly from your trunk
🚓 Document Shredding Available
The Gilbert Police Department will host its Annual Document Shredding Event at the same time, offering free, secure shredding for up to five boxes per vehicle.
Please remove folders, binder clips, and any metal or plastic materials before drop-off.
⚠️ Important Participation Requirements
This event is open only to Gilbert utility residents. A current Gilbert utility bill and matching photo ID are required to participate. Commercial waste will not be accepted.
