Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministries for Tourism and Culture, is delighted to announce that Sir Mo Farah is coming to Gibraltar✨Widely regarded as Britain’s greatest ever athlete, Sir Mo is a multiple Olympic, World and European gold medallist, famously achieving the historic ‘double double’—winning gold in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Knighted in 2017 for services to athletics, he has since become an influential public figure beyond the track.
Joining Gibraltar in his capacity as both Olympian and author, Sir Mo will reflect on his life and career, including his bestselling autobiography Twin Ambitions and his children’s book series Go Mo Go. The weekend, commencing Friday 17th April 2026, will feature an exclusive “In Conversation With” event at St Micheal's Cave, followed by a charity ‘Round the Rock’ run on Saturday morning, with all proceeds donated to charity.
Thomas Watt will be interviewing Sir Mo Farah for the 'In Conversation With' event on Friday 17th April. Tom Watt is probably best known for playing Lofty in BBC TV’s Eastenders. He has had an extensive career as an actor, writer and broadcaster and also well known for his appearances on BBC radio show Fighting Talk and his documentary films for BT Sports. He ghost-wrote David Beckham’s autobiography ‘My Side’, wrote and presented BT Sports’ Football Outposts series and currently scripts and advises on narrative for EA Sports computer games.
This special weekend marks an exciting prelude to the 2026 Literary Festival.
