Join us at the MacKenzie Art Gallery on Sunday, May 3, from 1–4 PM for a community gathering marking Red Dress Day, which is observed on May 5 each year. This afternoon brings together Jaime Black-Morsette, Tracey George-Heese, Agnes Yellowbear, and Chelsea Nokusis to share stories, artwork, and reflections connected to the Red Dress movement.
Red Dress Day is a time for remembrance and a call to action. Through conversation, storytelling, and art, this gathering creates space to reflect on the ongoing impacts of violence against Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people, and to come together in community.
All are welcome to come together, listen, and spend time in reflection.
