CLASS DESCRIPTION:
In this workshop, we will make bold botanical flowers that we paint and collage onto wood panels. Instructor Jennifer Wilkin Penick will walk you through the steps and give you some flower templates to help you get started.
You will be able to make the style and colors your own and you'll leave the workshop with a finished collage mounted on a round wood medallion and ready for hanging.
All materials provided and this workshop is good for all levels. Join us to learn some new artistic skills and walk away with a beautiful piece of art of your own!
About the Instructor:
Jennifer studied studio art as an undergraduate student and earned an MA in (Italian) Art History. Her artwork has been exhibited in Rome, Italy; Portland, Oregon; Arlington, Virginia; and Washington, DC. In addition to being a practicing artist, she teaches at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington and has been a Visual-Artist-in-Residence with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Arts & Humanities Program since 2018.
