MIXED LEVELS West African Djembe Workshop with Aboubacar Konate, Burkina Faso
Come join us for an exciting, fun and in-person workshop led by Aboubacar Konate from Burkina Faso! This workshop is the perfect way to start the New Year and is open to MIXED LEVELS (not complete beginner). It's for those looking to improve their skills in Traditional West African drumming using djembe (hand drums) to broaden their knowledge and learn more about Mande music and culture. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rhythms and techniques of this beautiful instrument. The event will be held at Wooden Roots Ltd, so mark your calendars and get ready to drum!
This workshop is NOT for complete beginners. Although, if you have attended an Intro to Drumming with Wooden Roots we will soon have you up to speed and smiling alongside your fellow drummers and new friends that you will make. This workshop will absolutely get you warmed up and ready for the IMPROVER/INTERMEDIATE workshop at 2pm.
Why not stay for the afternoon session too? Take advantage of staying in the groove and step it up a notch in our 2pm Improver/Intermediate class with Aboubacar.
