IMPROVER/INTERMEDIATE TRADITIONAL West African Djembe Workshop with Aboubacar Konate, Burkina Faso

Come join us for a focussed, exciting, fun and in-person workshop led by Aboubacar Konate from Burkina Faso! This workshop is the perfect way to start the New Year and is open to IMPROVER/INTERMEDIATE (not beginner). It's for those looking to advance their skills in Traditional West African drumming using djembe (hand drums) and to broaden their knowledge and learn more about Mande music and culture. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rhythms and techniques of this beautiful instrument. The event will be held at Wooden Roots Ltd, so mark your calendars and get ready to drum!

This workshop is NOT for beginners. We recommend that you have some experience and are comfortable playing at a higher and faster paced level, utilising and understanding traditional djembe techniques and timings. We recommend that you could take this workshop following the MIXED LEVELS workshop at 10.30am.
