About this Event
Saturday from 15:00-17:00, Justin will guide you through several thought-provoking presentations in the form of both group and solo exhibition. Starting at neugerriemschneider on Linienstraße, you'll delve into the stimulating group show 'NowJustPassedBy', where artists like Renata Lucas, Shilpa Gupta and Mike Nelson challenge perceptions of time and presence. Next, at Galerie Neu, discover the group show 'It would storm', featuring celebrated contemporary artists such as Tom Burr, SoiL Thornton and Josephine Pryde. We'll travel back in time to 1992 when the grandfather of conceptual art himself - John Baldessari - made a little-before seen body of work entitled Ahmedabad, during a residency he had in western India that year. At König Telegraphenamt we’ll see the immersive installation of sculpture, artifacts, and sound by Nigerian, African-American, and Cherokee artist Yussef Agbo-Ola whose work explores hybrid identities and relationships with diverse landscapes, ecologies, and cultural rituals. Lastly, we’ll survey the public artwork on the n.b.k. billboard by Yoko Ono.
Please note that due to the fragility of the work we see, backpacks and large objects are not allowed. This tour is led in English.
