Disability Connection and the Biloxi Visitors Center presents three free movies: the Mississippi Coast Heritage TrilogyDisability Connection invites you to a free showing of the MS Coast Heritage Tours Film Trilogy and learn about over 160 wonderful places to visit in South Mississippi. The three films will show at the Biloxi Visitor’s Center Theater, 1050 Beach Blvd, Biloxi.
Wednesday, March 4th from 10:15am-10:45am; 11:00-11:30; and 11:45-12:15.
The first :30-minute MS Coast Heritage Film documentary, “Gulf Coast Heritage Tours,” explores over 160 heritage locations to visit: historic places, art galleries, and museums.
The second :30-minute MS Coast Heritage Film documentary, “Gulf Coast Heritage Culture Tours,” tells the stories of local people: their cultural and ethnic heritages, their industries, churches, traditions, foods, festivals, and events that are still present to enjoy today. It features the personal stories of the families who first settled on the Gulf Coast: Native American, French, Irish, Spanish, Danish, Croatian, Greek, Italian, African-American, Indian, Jewish, Vietnamese, German, Lebanese, and Finnish.
The third :30-minute MS Coast Heritage Film documentary, “Celebrate our Waterways,” encourages people to enjoy the beautiful blueways in the southern six Mississippi counties: the rivers, bays, and the Gulf. ‘Tours’ identifies a wide variety of scenic and outdoor recreational activities that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.
‘Tours’ was made possible by a Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area Grant from the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and the National Park Service.
