Come join us for a special (friends, family, investor, cast, crew, participants) preview screening of the documentary Citizens Revival at Malco Oxford Commons brought to you by the Oxford Film Festival! This in-person event will feature a thought-provoking film that explores the power of grassroots movements in shaping our communities. Don't miss this opportunity to be inspired and connect with like-minded individuals.
This is a free screening, so please RSVP, and RSVP for a friend or two or three or four. We WANT as many people who care about this topic to join us. Film with be followed by a Q&A with several of the film's creators, along with Water Valley Board of Alderman Nicole Folson, and WVHS English/ Journalism teacher Anna Koshenina.
We’re excited to share this feature documentary, two years in the works, with you. It explores the state of our democracy, largely from the perspective of young people with a focus on education. It’s full of hope, joy, and energy, but also the challenges and obstacles to meaningful participation in our system. We’re beginning to apply to festivals and hope to have conversations with distributors and streamers soon, with an ultimate goal of having the film in schools.
