About this Event
On this tour, we’ll visit places loved by locals and often overlooked by tourists, including Mission Dolores Park, the Castro Theatre, and Clarion Alley’s famous murals. Along the way, you’ll discover how art, culture, and social movements have shaped these neighborhoods over the past two centuries.
Come explore the streets, hear the stories behind the murals and landmarks, and gain a deeper understanding of how the community transformed these iconic parts of San Francisco.
The tour lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours and covers approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) of walking. Along the way, we’ll take a short break for restrooms and water, and we’ll also take a free group photo for everyone who would like one.
During the tour, we will visit Mission Dolores Park, the Castro Theatre, Clarion Alley’s famous murals, and many other interesting spots that are often overlooked by typical tourist routes.
The tour ends at Harvey Milk Plaza, next to the Castro Theatre
