Join us for a Missa Cantata (sung Mass) on Monday, November 14th at St. Alphonsus church in downtown Wheeling. Mass begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception in Columbia Hall on the lower level of the church. Canon William Avis, pastor of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish in Pittsburgh, PA, will be the celebrant.Sean Maxwell, organist at Kloster Baumgartenberg (Austria), will be playing for the Mass as a guest musician. He has performed at concerts, organ festivals, and traditional Masses internationally. Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Schola Cantorum will be singing for the Mass.
Sean Maxwell will also be performing an organ concert the evening before the Mass, Sunday, November 13th, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, WV at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted at the door and are greatly appreciated.
