We are delighted to invite famed local tango instructor Mira Barakat to Empanada Milonga for the very first time for a 1 hour all-level workshop for both leaders and followers. Mira teaches locally privately and at workshops, and has been teaching and performing tango since 2006 when she lived in Buenos Aires. She is a global performer, dancing solo and with such groups as Tango Con*Fusion, and co-leads a tango retreat to Buenos Aires every year. Those who have taken her local tango classes rave about her teaching, with her care, precision, and understanding of tango dynamics as a leader and follower. As she says "For me, Tango is about connection - to ourselves, our partners, and the music. I feel deeply passionate about this dance and I love sharing this with my students and community."
