Scotland’s dramatic history is illuminated by story and folksong. Singer Robyn Stapleton, a BBC traditional musician of the year, and historian Professor David Purdie present a national story, reflecting the unique musical heritage of the people.
The history and the songs are accompanied by glorious images from the National Records of Scotland and the music of pianist Alistair Iain Paterson.
