Minor Gold, Tracy and Dan, shared a night of music at Focal Point last June and we're excited to have them return for a full show of their own!
Blending sixth-sense harmonies with sun-dappled folk-rock, Minor Gold is the award-winning transpacific duo of Dan Parsons (AUS) and Tracy McNeil (CAN). Delivering heartfelt songs, free-spirited rhythms and magnetic onstage chemistry, Minor Gold bring something both familiar and refreshingly new to the Americana/folk world. Since forming in 2022, Parsons and McNeil have spent much of their time on international highways, carrying their songs across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia. They’ve won over the finest listening rooms, appeared at major festivals, delivered official showcases, and shared stages with Grammy winner Dan Navarro, as well as supporting The Teskey Brothers in the U.S.
Their sophomore album Way To The Sun, recorded in California with producer Dan Horne (Mapache, Cass McCombs), marks a radiant new chapter. The album spent nine weeks on the US Americana Radio Chart, appeared in UNCUT’s Top Tracks of the Month, earned ★★★★ reviews from Shindig (UK) and PROG Magazine, and was praised by Americana UK as “retro California sounds brought bang up to date.”
