About this Event
Triathlon. Trio of movements. Triple challenge. This experience will take you through three segments (detailed below) to push you in new ways, all in good company. Each part will be started at the Nordic Plaza Turf and last about 30 mins. We will wrap our time together with high fives, goodie bags, and refueling (aka hydration, coffee, + snacks). Are you ready to be challenged?
Participation is free and we encourage you to donate what you might have paid for a class to QUEERSPACE Collective. Through mentorship, training and advocacy, QUEERSPACE collective creates space for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and empowered to be their true selves.
The Triple Play:
RUN |
Using our urban environment and beautiful river road, Ambassador Noah will create two (2) different route options for attendees to keep the experience approachable for all.
WALK/JOG
Maybe you hate running? Maybe a mile seems hard? Either way, we can all agree on time. This 20-minute out-and-back will allow you to tackle the space at your comfort and pace.
RUN
Okay, so you know you can do at least one mile, but you’re not quite ready to sign up for a 5K in the near future. This 2-mile loop will make sure you never get lost, but challenge you to go just a little bit further than you wanted.
SHAKE |
Join Ambassador Cort, as he leads you through a lower-body workout that will both challenge and inspire you. Based on [solidcore] principles, this high-intensity, low-impact full-body workout is based on a pilates-inspired format, and you’ll find a stronger version of yourself by the first song change. For those who also want a touch of core, this workout will also utilize slow and controlled movements scientifically designed to break down muscles to failure so they build back [stronger].
SWEAT |
Never forgetting the total body experience, Ambassador Steven will take advantage of the outdoor Nordic Plaza Turf space for a high-energy, upper-body, plyometric-inspired workout that combines bodyweight exercises and minimal equipment. Creating an experience that is accessible for all fitness levels, this session is designed to boost your endurance, strength, and overall fitness in a fun and challenging way to wrap up your experience while making sure your whole body gets at least a little bit of attention.
