MINISTRY OF TRAD - Featuring Clada, Project Smok & SuperCéilí

Ministry of Trad bursts onto the scene for the very first time, igniting Belfast’s iconic Mandela Hall on 6th August 2026 with a groundbreaking celebration of modern trad and high-octane Celtic energy. Featuring the explosive sounds of Project Smok and CLADA and SuperCéilí. Expect reels, rhythm, and rave all under one roof. Get ready to experience trad like you’ve never heard it before.

We kick of the night with the hugely talented CLADA. With a sound rooted firmly in Irish tradition yet unapologetically modern, CLADA bring a fresh and electrifying edge to the lineup. The band have already honed a distinctive style that blends Irish traditional and folk music with influences from pop, funk, bluegrass and even dance music. Their use of contemporary rhythms, textures and effects gives traditional Irish music a vibrant lift, placing it confidently alongside today’s modern mainstream releases.

It doesn't stop there. Up next, Project SMOK whose nonconformist and progressive style has set them apart since their formation in 2017. Their high energy live performances, the band’s eclectic discography has solidified their place at the forefront of the traditional music scene, amassing over 15 million streams worldwide.

We aren't done yet! Closing our the night are SuperCéilí. They are the only show of its type which combines acoustic and digital instruments to create electronic Irish Dance Music. The technical wizardry of Peter Staunton and the unmatched stage presence of Sean Leahy combine to create a gigantic sound and spectacle. SuperCéilí fills dance floors with a unique combination of very old and very new music.
