Join us for a creative evening at Hummingbirds as Erika Ceramics leads a hands-on Mini Wall Vase Workshop!In this class, you’ll create two small clay wall vases that are perfect for displaying a tiny bloom or two. Erika will guide you step-by-step through shaping your pieces using a slab of clay and a pinch pot technique to form your vase.
Once your forms are complete, you’ll decorate them using a curated palette of underglaze (a clay-safe paint) to add color and personality to your pieces.
You’ll also choose how to finish your vases:
• Add a magnetic backing for the fridge
• Or create a small hole for hanging on the wall
After the workshop, Erika will take your pieces back to her studio to be glazed and kiln fired in a glossy clear finish. Your finished vases will be ready for pickup at Hummingbirds in approximately 3–4 weeks.
These little vases are perfect for holding a small flower clipping, dried blooms, or a tiny bud from your garden.
