About this Event
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will learn the fundamentals and safety of working with resin. With the guidance of your instructor, you'll create an ocean wave design on a wooden mini charcuterie board!
Here's what to expect:
- Guided Demonstration: Our resin instructor will guide you through the process of working with resin with a variety of techniques. Learn how to mix pigments, blend multiple colors, and create waves with a heat gun to create a decorative unique 11x5 serving board!
- Fun for All: This workshop is perfect for all skill levels and beginner-friendly!
- All Materials Provided: All materials and supplies will be provided. Just come with your enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness! It's a great opportunity to meet new people, bond with family or friends, or try something new on your own!
- Processing and Pickup: Each piece takes around 72 hours to fully cure. Once cured, your instructor will sand down the edges and seal the wood with a food-safe oil to complete your piece! Pieces can then be picked up from the cafe!
- Pickup Options: Items will usually be ready for pickup 1–2 weeks after the class. After the session, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group to notify you of the pickup details. Once ready, items will be wrapped, packaged, and labeled for pickup inside the cafe where you can come grab your piece during cafe hours. Alternatively, we can mail your items for an additional shipping and handling fee.
- Disclaimer: Due to the chemical properties of the resin, we recommend this workshop for ages 18+ and do not recommend it for those who are pregnant.

Meet Your Instructor!
Hi, I’m Julie! I’ve always loved art and enjoy exploring different art mediums. I’ve worked with resin since 2019 and have taken a liking to ceramics since 2023. I enjoy other art forms such as painting, jewelry making, and baking. I love creating art that is fun and whimsical. My favorite thing about teaching art is that no two creations are alike. We all make our own unique pieces!
Julie is also an instructor for our Step-by-Step Painting Class on Fridays from 5:00-6:30 PM and our Decorative Resin Tray and Bookmarks Workshop every Sunday at 2 PM!
