MINDFULNESS OF THOUGHTS:
In everyday life, people tend to be infatuated with their thoughts. When they sit to meditate, they tend to see thoughts as an enemy. In contrast, this workshop will walk a middle way between those two poles.
In this workshop, we'll invite curiosity and point to a wiser relationship to thinking, where we engage them when useful, and let them go when unuseful. Through guided meditation, we'll explore the raw appearance of thoughts, how they are interrelated with sensations and emotions, and how exactly they change.
More than anything, we'll emphasize a wiser way of relating to thoughts.
The workshop will feature a dynamic blend of lecture, community discussion, and guided meditations. Attendance will be capped at 20 people.
COST:
Offered on the gift economy (aka, on donation).
Please note that offered on donation does not mean "low value" or "only sign up because no payment is required." This event will likely fill up. Please only join if you genuinely intend to come.
If you'd like to learn more about how and why I support myself 99% on community donations, please read
*Note: Eventbrite now seems to require a minimum $1 donation. Apologies about that — I wish I could set it to $0 minimum!!
