About this Event
About This Retreat
Life can feel overwhelming—endless responsibilities, incessant overthinking, and emotions that seem impossible to manage. Many of us get stuck in patterns of stress, frustration, and disconnection from what matters most.
Life rarely offers us the certainty we crave. We plan, we worry, we brace ourselves against the unknown — and yet uncertainty is woven into the very fabric of being human.
What if the uncertainty you've been running from is the very doorway to your peace?
Uncomfortable with Uncertainty is a half-day retreat that gently invites you to stop fighting the unknown and instead find stillness within it. Through mindful practices, healing sound, and the quiet wisdom of poetry, this is a space to breathe, soften, and reconnect with yourself.
Whether you are navigating change, carrying the weight of unanswered questions, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the unpredictability of life — this retreat is for you.
What to Expect
Set within the beautiful surroundings of Scala Retreat Centre in Blackrock, your morning will unfold gently and intentionally, weaving together:
- Guided Meditation — to settle the mind and open the heart
- Mindful Walking in Nature — reconnecting with the present moment, one step at a time
- Mindful Eating — a nourishing pause to experience food with full awareness
- Reflection & Journalling — space to explore your relationship with uncertainty and what it stirs in you
- Full Relaxation — deep rest for the body and nervous system
- Poetry & Song — interwoven throughout the day to create a calming, nurturing atmosphere, harnessing the healing power of sound
This is not a day of answers. It is a day of presence — a gentle reminder that you do not need to have it all figured out to be okay.
What You Will Gain
