About this Event
Mindfulness and Moss
Join us for a workshop that blends art, nature, and community to foster resilience and mindfulness in times of crisis. Through guided reflection, grounding exercises, and shared storytelling, participants explore their experiences and build meaningful connections with others. Using slow stitching as a meditative, nature-inspired practice, they begin creating a personal piece of textile “moss,” embracing imperfection and presence while contributing to a larger collaborative artwork; participants will return their completed piece to be added to a collective “bed of moss.” The session provides a safe space to process eco-anxiety, strengthens a sense of belonging, and leaves participants with practical tools for mindfulness and inspiration to engage in climate action, while connecting them to the Conservation Council of New Brunswick’s broader community of practice.
