I really struggle with perfectionism as an artist and I've been looking for ways to quiet my inner critic and just enjoy the process of creating.

Mindful painting helped me do just that. Although we work with a representative picture (in this case a picture of town in Greece) Lisa offered prompts and suggestions that encouraged me to get in the flow of painting. I chose to focus on color, transparency, and negative space and this helped me leave my busy thoughts behind and fully occupy my creative happy place.

Although I didn't have any goal other than having fun, I came up with some cool ideas to explore in future works.
