Mindful Movement & Sound Healing

IN-PERSON EVENT - AUSTIN, TX

The VSN is excited to partner with for an in-person event in Austin, TX, where participants can experience the restorative magic of gentle stretching and sound healing. In this class, you can expect to be guided through mindful breathing and gentle movements to ground your mind, body, and spirit. As you explore restorative shapes, bask in the soothing sound of the crystal singing bowls. This unique experience will leave you feeling relaxed and restored.

Note: 15 yoga mats will be available for anyone who does not have their own, but if you own your own mat, you are encouraged to bring it.

About our teacher:

Kaytee Hernandez (she/her) is a Latinx Yoga Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and Children's Yoga Teacher with a passion for holistic health and well-being. Yoga has been a transformative and healing journey for Kaytee. The tools she has learned have helped her digest trauma, grief, and loss and fall in love with life again.

Kaytee specializes in Yoga Therapy for Mental Health, Addiction Recovery, and Trauma Healing for Children and Adults. She takes a trauma-informed approach, working with clients to cultivate trust within the therapeutic relationship over time.

Kaytee is down-to-earth, non-judgmental, and approachable. She has a wealth of experience working in clinical settings and private practice with individuals and in small groups. Her ultimate aim is to empower clients to become their own healers through education, support, and passing along the many tools in her toolbox. Working with Kaytee is a meaningful and rich experience that will infuse your life with peace.

To be eligible for this group you must be connected to the military or veteran population - the spouse or partner of an active-duty service member or post-service veteran, a caregiver, a widow/widower or divorced spouse from a veteran or active duty service member, or an active-duty service member or veteran.

Once registered, you will be emailed a Zoom invite to join via computer, tablet, or phone. You will also be able to access the Zoom information by viewing the event's Online Event Page. The Online Event Page can be accessed by clicking the "View the event" button in your order confirmation email, OR by selecting the "Access this event" button on the right-hand side of this page. Please find a quiet, distraction-free place to attend the session. If no one attends the session after 15 minutes the leader has the option to cancel the meeting.
