About this Event
In times of stress and uncertainty, many of us are longing for simple practices that help us return to steadiness, clarity, and connection. Mindful Movement & Meditation offers an opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect in the supportive presence of community.
Each weekly, one-hour session combines gentle mindful movement and guided meditation to help calm the nervous system, release tension, and cultivate greater awareness in everyday life.
We begin with slow, intentional movement designed to help the body unwind from the day and awaken present-moment awareness. The movement practice is followed by guided mindfulness meditation, offering participants practical tools for cultivating calm, clarity, and a compassionate relationship with their moment-to-moment experience.
The class is facilitated by Amy Zoe Schonhoff, a certified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and founder of . Amy offers secular, trauma-sensitive mindfulness education and training designed to support stress reduction, emotional balance, and resilience. Her teaching invites participants to meet their experience with curiosity, kindness, and care.
This welcoming community practice is open to everyone—from those with an established meditation practice to those who are completely new to mindfulness. No prior experience is necessary.
Classes are held at , a beautiful and welcoming space in Overland Park, KS. The studio features a serene, naturally lit room ideal for meditation and mindful movement.
