Mindful Mother’s Day
A Women’s Mini Retreat
You’re warmly invited to join us for Mindful Mother’s Day, a gentle mini retreat created to celebrate and honour women.
If feel called to spend the day in supportive female company, this space is for you. This is a women-only gathering, created with care, softness, and connection at its heart.
Mother’s Day can mean many things to many people. This afternoon is about slowing down and turning some of that care inward. Stepping away from your responsibilities for a few hours and allowing yourself to be held, supported, and welcomed exactly as you are.
You’ll be welcomed into Soul Sanctuary Sunderland, a space created for community, connection, and feeling safe enough to just be. As you arrive, you’re invited to leave the outside world at the door and settle into a calmer pace.
Mother’s Day can be full, busy, emotional, or quietly reflective. This mini retreat is a chance to step out of all of that for a little while and turn some of that care towards yourself. To move your body with intention, to rest without guilt, and to be surrounded by supportive women. It’s a few hours carved out just for you.
You’ll be welcomed into Soul Sanctuary Sunderland, a space created for community, connection, and feeling safe enough to just be. It’s a sanctuary where you can arrive exactly as you are, without expectation or judgement. As you step inside, you’re invited to leave the outside world at the door and allow yourself this time.
Pillows, blankets, yoga mats, and eye masks are all provided for your comfort. Just bring water and a willingness to give yourself this space.
An afternoon to soften and simply be.
What to expect:
Pilates with Lana – LK Pilates
We’ll begin with a slow-paced Pilates class with Lana.
A slow-paced Pilates class focuses on controlled, intentional movements performed with steady breathing and precise alignment. The pace allows time to fully engage the core, build strength gradually, and move with awareness rather than momentum.
Benefits include improved posture, deeper core strength, increased flexibility, better balance, and reduced muscle tension. The slower tempo also supports mindfulness and stress reduction, making it especially beneficial for beginners, injury prevention, or anyone looking for a calm, low-impact yet effective workout.
This session is supportive and accessible, and you’ll always be encouraged to move in a way that feels right for your body.
After Pilates, we’ll take a short break. Time to grab some water, stretch your legs, or simply pause before we come back together.
Energy Healing Circle
We’ll then gather in a gentle energy healing circle, held by Lana and Marie.
This part of the afternoon is about shared presence and quiet connection. You’ll be invited to sit or lie comfortably as we guide a collective energy healing experience. There is nothing you need to do and nothing you need to share unless you wish to. Just being in the space is enough.
Sound Bath with Marie – Soul Sanctuary Sunderland
From circle, you’ll be guided into a deeply calming sound bath with Marie.
You’ll be invited to lie down, get comfortable, and simply receive. Using gongs, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, and other soothing instruments, the sound vibrations gently fill the space, encouraging the body to soften and the mind to quieten.
This is a time for stillness. A chance to rest fully and allow everything from the afternoon to settle.
Closing with Tea and Sweet Treats
We’ll end our time together with herbal teas and sweet treats, giving space to chat, connect, or simply sit quietly before heading home.
Each guest will also receive a small gift bag as a token of appreciation.

What to Bring:
A yoga mat, pillow, bolster pillow, cosy blanket and eye pillow will all be provided for your comfort. You may also wish to bring
- A sealed water bottle to stay hydrated
- Wear warm, comfortable layers
- You can also bring your own mat and blankets if you wish for extra comfort and warmth
Benefits of Sound Bathing Therapy May Include:
- Deep relaxation & nervous system reset

Contraindications:
Sound therapy is a gentle and low-risk holistic practice, however there are a few contraindications that mean it may not be suitable to attend. These include:
- This session is not suitable for individuals with severe mental health conditions, including schizophrenia or unmanaged bipolar disorder, and attendance is not permitted in these cases.
- Pregnancy in the first trimester - please consult with your GP
- Having a pacemaker or serious heart condition
- Sound-induced epilepsy

Important Information:
- Please arrive around 15 minutes early to settle in for a prompt 3pm start.
- This session is for people ages 18 and over due to the stillness and sensitivity of the experience.
- As spaces are limited, refunds aren’t available, however if more than 72 hours notice is given - you can transfer your ticket to a future event. If less than 72 hours notice is given, you’re welcome to gift or transfer your ticket to a friend if you’re unable to join us.
- Open to all experience levels - no prior experience is needed.
- Energy Exchange £33.33 + Eventbrite booking fee.
