About this Event
This one day workshop gives participants the chance to create their own Midwinter Triptych, a personal artwork combining three different disciplines: drawing, poetry and papercutting. We want to give space to those quietly magical winter moments, our experiences in nature that remind us of the need for stillness and self-nurture.
The workshop takes place in the beautiful surroundings of the Water Of Leith in Edinburgh, a location chosen to inspire our triptychs. The day will be in four parts, with each artist leading a workshop and then a final session when we put everything together. Our aim is to celebrate the process every bit as much as the product, in a supportive, fun and encouraging atmosphere whatever level of experience you might bring along - everyone is welcome.
Winter is its own world - let's explore it together in this first of four seasonal workshops with illustrator Cordula Marks Venters, poet and writer Kirsty Venters Marks and papercut artist Papercut Punk.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
