Join Us for the Mindful Media Parent Education Breakfast!
Join us for a parent education event exploring how City of Lakes Waldorf School’s mindful approach to media supports healthy child development in today’s digital world. Over a light breakfast, participants will learn how this approach nurtures children’s capacity for attention, critical thinking, and discernment—skills that serve them well into high school and beyond. The session will highlight current research on media and child development, how these insights shape classroom practices at CLWS, and how the school’s Cyber Civics curriculum prepares students to navigate technology thoughtfully before they have personal devices. The event features Soni Albright, a media literacy educator and digital citizenship specialist with more than 25 years of experience across Waldorf, Montessori, public, and independent schools. The presentation will take place from 8:45–9:45 am, followed by a Q&A and informal conversation until 10:00 am. Open to all!
