Mindful Expressionism Workshop

The act of creating art is therapeutic and a powerful catalyst for healing and effecting change in our thoughts, patterns and behavior. In this workshop, we will start with a brief guided meditation of about 10 minutes to ground ourselves, open our availability to a sense of pure freedom of expression, and let go of and judgements around what our finished work should look like. We are getting into the Flow State! The remaining time will be spent creating a work in acrylics or mixed media resting on Expressionism, which allows our mind to process thought patterns, grief, trauma, and also to cultivate JOY...and we all need more processing, acceptance, and joy in our lives!

Your job in advance: have an idea in mind you want to focus on--something joyful, something you might need to process, a new idea that's bubbling around...anything; show up fully; wear comfortable clothes that can get paint on them. We are a shoes-off studio, so wear socks if that makes you more comfortable.

All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring anything you might want to incorporate.

No experience required! This workshop is for everyone regardless of skill level or experience. Age 13 and up, please.
