About this Event
In the wake of major crises, the international community rallies with a surge of funding to support displaced people. However, as global attention shifts, long-term support diminishes, leaving millions with insufficient resources to meet their basic needs. At this event, a panel of experts will examine the persistent funding, shelter, and policy gaps in protracted refugee situations, where displacement can last for decades. The panel will bring together donors, humanitarian practitioners, and academics to discuss systemic challenges refugees face in long-term displacement, the donor community's responsibility to closing this gap, and potential solutions to improve refugeesʼ lives and well-being.
