Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am a homeschooling mom that lives here on Guam. I came across this STEM magic show and thought it looked like an awesome opportunity. I am working towards building a group that would be able to attend the show and reach the required number of participants in order to book. The required number is 100! That includes parents and siblings attending the show. If you are positive that you would be able to commit to this opportunity please comment on the page with how many you would have in your party. Once we have the required number, then I will notify everyone via this event and ask for the $17/person fee for the show. Here is a description of the show to see what topics will be covered:
Be enthralled by a hands-on lesson in science—with a twist of illusion—through the high-energy “Mind Over Magic” show, an interactive program designed to make STEM learning both engaging and unforgettable.
Hosted by master magician Anthony Reed, at Crowne Plaza Resort in Tumon, the traveling production introduces students to core concepts in science, technology, engineering and mathematics by combining live demonstrations with elements of stage magic.
The show’s approach centers on making complex ideas accessible through visual demonstrations and audience interaction.
Among the key topics explored is misdirection, a technique commonly used in magic that also reveals how the human brain processes—and sometimes misinterprets—information. Optical illusions further expand on this idea, showing how perception can be manipulated and why the brain can be easily deceived.
Scientific principles are woven into each segment of the show. Students learn about electrostatics through demonstrations involving protons and electrons, exploring how static electricity can create surprising effects, including defying gravity-like behavior.
One of the show’s highlights focuses on Bernoulli’s principle, illustrating how differences in air pressure can generate lift. Through a series of demonstrations, students see how this principle applies to flight and motion, while also witnessing objects levitate and even produce sound in unexpected ways.
Reed who goes by the stage name Professor Klutz says the goal of “Mind Over Magic” is to inspire curiosity and critical thinking by showing how science underpins even the most astonishing illusions.
By blending entertainment with education, the show captivated the students and engaged them to create a deeper appreciation for STEM subjects.
Geared toward elementary school students, tickets are sold at $17 per adult or child with 100 pax reservation.
**This is specifically for elementary to early middle school aged HOMESCHOOLERS on Guam.**
Shows start at 10:00AM and are 45 minutes long
