About this Event

As part of Belfast Learning Festival, Libraries NI is delighted to host a special event on Wednesday 10 June from 2-4pm at Shankill Road Library, in partnership with The Open University and the Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland.

Dr Sinéad Eccles will explore how brain health develops across adulthood and share simple, realistic strategies that support wellbeing at every stage of life. The event will introduce a new Future Life toolkit, offering practical ways to plan ahead, and highlight the Take 5 to Age Well project - a positive, empowering approach to healthy ageing.

Meet Siobhan Casey, Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland, learn about her role, and how her office champions the rights and needs of older people, ensuring the voice of the older generation is heard.

Whether you’re curious about your cognitive health, thinking ahead for later life, or simply want to feel better equipped for the future, this session offers practical tips and advice that you can use straight away.
